The purpose of our ministry of preaching and teaching the Word of God
is to impart God’s Spirit and Life.
Jesus said, "It is the Spirit who gives Life, ... the words that
I speak to you are Spirit, and they are Life." Jn 6:63.
Paul said, "God has made us able ministers of the New Covenant,
not of the letter but of the Spirit, for the letter kills but the Spirit
gives Life." 2 Cor 3:6.
Introduction
2 Pet 1:4 - He has given us His very great and precious
promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Israel had their "Promised Land," Ex 3:8.
The Church has the "Land of Promises," 2 Cor 1:20 (KJV).
These lists of scriptures have been accumulated over the years and recorded
in the blank pages at the back of my Bible. The Holy Spirit has made these
verses alive and powerful to me. By confessing them out aloud in faith,
many miracles of God's blessing, power and grace have been experienced.
The KJV has been used with some modifications of archaic words.
The Key to Living in the Grace and Power of God's BLESSING.
In general, choose a particular list of verses that applies to a specific
present need and start reading them through. Ask the Lord to make them
"alive" to you by the power of the Holy Spirit. Turn those verses
which are "quickened" into prayers of faith, praise and thanks.
Pray them frequently to the Lord. Soon they will be "memorised"
in the heart and will be the channel for the power of God to work. Ps
1:1-3.
As you read the Word daily make other lists for yourself under different
headings. Remember, Jer 1:12 (AMP), "God is watching
over His Word to perform it." (See Is 55:1 1, Num 23:19.)
God bless you richly, and prosper your ways in Him.
